This is so sad to see Arabs willing to kill Arabs, just to destroy Israel. It appears until they decide to change, we'll all just have to deal with this sort of bloodshed. The civilized World will have to do what needs to be done to protect innocents or every background, from these monsters.

This is pure criminal activity without any nationalist or political motive.

It's sadly all too typical. Arab regimes use Palestinians as cannon fodder for riots and demonstrations; Islamic terror groups have no problems murdering fellow Muslims; and the Palestinian terror groups hide behind their fellow Palestinians so as to maximize the body count when Israel takes actions to defend itself.

As for the intentions behind this plot, it seems that while there may have been business/money at the heart of the plot, the repercussions of the plot would have been far more widespread - with likely reprisals by Arabs who would have blamed Israeli right wingers for the attacks.

No. I do, however, read newspapers and can tell the difference between "crime" and "politics".

I swear there was an attempted conspiracy like this in the last decade in Belgium involving afar-right party. Anyone else know what I'm thinking of? I'm fuzzy on the details.

That Scientology Center was attacked last year, even before it was completed. What is the role of such a center in a country where religious proselytization is prohibited?

re #5 - There are some Israeli Arabs who consider the term "Israeli Arab" insulting and think of themselves as "Palestinians under the 48 occupation". Some of them are members of criminal families, so when possible, why not mix business with pleasure?

re #7 - Some more details to make things clear : This "familya" is accused of many attempted murders and other crimes that were paid for by different clients. In this case a family member or some other Arab client has ordered the murder of the Sheikh because of a business dispute. The Jewish Lawyer, who is (was?) the head of the Israeli Scientology branch, has ordered them to murder his X-wife's new husband (after 2 failed attempts he was seriously wounded and his 3 year old girl lightly wounded and traumatized), and as extra payment has helped them infiltrate and wreck the Scientology center occasionally, so that, as the head of that center, he can hire members of that family to do the rebuilding and pay them the insurance money.
I think Scientology isn't considered a religion in Israel, and there are many legal arguments going on as to whether they can be banned under the term "Sect" or not. They almost never publicize anything under the name "Scientology". It's always some other nicely named organization. The funny thing is that they follow the American stereotype and always print in very small letters "all rights of use of the term this and that are reserved to Hubbard and such".
